All The FATS.

Week 2 has come around faster than the old me when someone said “hey, anyone want some chocolate?”. I blame Wellington Anniversary gifting me (Lauren) a beautifully long weekend of warm weather, markets, friends and of course cooking!

Sophie’s Week:

This lady had a week of SF perfection.

“…said no to brownie today at morning tea, hope you’re proud! Although I had half a cheap sausage roll which might have had some hidden sugars but shhhhhh. No T sauce at least…”
I googled and your gamble paid off Miss Sophie. Always dependable New Ways saussy rolls are in fact SF… every ingredient is questionable so they’re definitely not JERF but SF they are. Win.

Happy Life Changing Loaf making, I wish you all the best.

Lauren’s Week:

For me this week was all about the big Sunday cook up of family sized meals for lunches and dinners. This girls surprisingly got a life outside of the kitchen and work – well I try. Here’s my glorious week in summary:

– Hello there spots please be because my body is excreting (ew) sugary toxins and will return as glowing as ever… please.
– Confession: Had a splendid dinner with a gorgeous friend and her lovely mother made me a GF and DF dessert, amaretti biscuits coated in the baking industries cocaine* and I even dipped my finger in the left over sugary goodness – no regrets.
– Relished every opportunity I had to bite into stone fruit and savour their sweet, juicy perfection before next weeks fruit free zone.
– “Extra Avo, please” – most repeated phrase this week.
– “Just a Jamie Oliver dollup of coconut oil”  – second most repeated phrase this week.

– The cake at my colleagues birthday morning tea SMELT amazing.
– Kettles Seasalt Chips have heaps of foldies (the best type of chip) and are SF!
– Long White alcoholic beverages have no added sugar. Tick, tick, tick.
– Other than my temporary pizza face that has all but cleared, I felt absolutely fabulous this week.

* Cocaine : White sugar.

Rich Nomato Sauce From IQS Simplicious

Tomato free tom sauce. A hit at brunch club. *Also pours over entire life*

Inspired By Monday’s Wholefoods Instagram I made up my own incredibly scrumptious,

Spelt Flour Roast Vegetable Galette

My lunches were literal and tastebud rainbows.

Another Petite Kitchen (Monday’s creator) winner,

Tomato – Braised Chicken with Anchovies, Rosemary & Garlic

Almond Crusted Salmon on Avo and Corn Salsa, Quinoa, Zoodles (my favourite word) and Nomato Sauce

Made this one up.

Managed to squeeze in a Friday breakfast date with my kind of cool flatmate Emily:

Flight Coffee: The Hangar’s, Avocado and Harissa Eggs

Swap an egg for extra avo, s’il vous plait.

Before a delicious Sunday brunch with  my reasonably cool (I guess) flatmate Emily I made the most perfect Brown Paper Bag Nutrition’s adapted Life Changing Loaf I’ve ever made for the week ahead.

Buckwheat Seeded Life Changing Loaf

Ready for a slathering of Pic’s PB

The last fruit supper. This had fruit, gluten and dairy in it. I feel hellish now but man it was deliciously worth every mouth full.

Olive’s Bircher Muesli with Seasonal Fruit (Muesli is the weirdest looking word)

Olive’d this. The best send off to fruit.

Michaela’s Week:

My week started off strong. Hello fat and protein filled meals and no need to snack. Then the weather changed from summer to winter, I had two nights of bad sleeps and hello day long cravings for chocolate brownie that yogurt, cocoa and peanut butter mush didn’t quite fulfil. Come Thursday I thought sod this I will eat crackers, processed hummus and noodles with black bean sauce-it must’ve been karma cos I got one sore stomach after that! Back on track this weekend with a rather delicious Saturday supper (see below photo – it’s a mushroom, capsicum, pea and onion frittata with avocado/Beetroot salad!) and SF Sunday bbq. Made a fresh batch of coco nutty granola for this weeks breakfasts and chargrilled zucchini and capsicum buckwheat and feta salad for lunches. Come at me Week 3 I am prepared for you!

Favourite meals:

Lauren: Anything fruity or avocadoy. I will be making that galette again and again and forever.

Michaela: Sunday’s post-run brunch: Vogels with Fix and Fogg fire and smoke peanut butter, avocado, poached egg and a cherry tomato and spinach salad. No cafe needed here!
