Complete 17 years of formal education-check, have an incredible oversea’s experience – in progress, begin my careers as a “yo-pro” – yet to commence.
I’ve decided to start this blog to document my oversea’s adventure as I’m a tad over The Facebook but still want to keep everyone up to date on my adventures, ensure piece of mind for all family members and satisfy the odd old acquaintance ‘stalker’.
Side Note: By everyone I mean family members and interested friends, and by that I’m probably just writing published emails to my mum, hey mum!
The Itinerary:
- 16 November – Fly from Christchurch to deliver baggage to my new home Wellington.
- 18 November – Depart for Melbourne Australia, catch train, catch bus, arrive at the family farm in Nyah West.
- 13 December – Depart Nyah West with a better than and life skills for Melbourne to stay with the beautiful Claire.
- 16 December – Fly Melbourne to Sydney, reunite with Laura (my trusty travel companion) on an Emirates (ooh fancy) flight to Bangkok.
- 19 December – Start consuming Malaria tablets.
- 21 December – Depart on a 15 day G- Adventures Mekong tour through Cambodia and Laos.
- 4 January 2015 – Return to Bangkok.
- Explore Thailand, locations yet to be confirmed, recommendations welcome!
- 17 January – Return to Bangkok, probably. Depart ways with Laura, she’s staying on in Thailand for another week I’m not just leaving her behind.
- 18 January – Depart BKK to Asahikawa in Northern Japan, including an awfully long stop over in the Philippines. Asahikawa is where my childhood BFF Elise will be meeting me and also where her brother lives.
- 24 January – Elise and I fly to New York to stay with my amazing sister Bridie.
- 2 February – Vegas Baby!! Add a visit from Ieneke here too!
- 5 February – Leave for “home”.
- 6 February – Return to Wellington
- Voila, Ring of Fire completed.
After that I hope you understand how tedious answering the “oh so where are you going?” question gets.
I hope you enjoy living vicariously through my adventure as much as I do experiencing it, Bon Voyage!
